Board part numbers matter — a "900-21010-…" OEM board and a retail-boxed card are different SKUs with different warranties, firmware and resale value.

Where supply actually comes from

• OEM allocation: server vendors (Supermicro, Dell, Lenovo…) receive GPU allocations tied to complete systems. Bare-GPU supply often originates as de-kitted OEM stock.
